Elyot and Sybil are on their honeymoon in a hotel in Deauville. Victor and Amanda are also on their honeymoon in a hotel in Deauville. In fact they are in adjacent rooms! Elyot and Amanda had a bitter and acrimonious divorce and can’t stand the sight of each other until the moonlight and the music weave their spell and they decide to run away together. Sybil and Victor, who both love their partners madly, form an uncomfortable alliance to track down the absentee spouses. The ensuing scenes are among some of the funniest in British Theatre and with the incisive wit of Coward this intimate comedy is as relevant to relationships now as it was when first written.
